AS Watson Group Retail Academy officially launched in March 2018. It is the first local Retail Academy in the industry, driving the development of the new retail era. AS Watson Group becomes the first company in the retail sector offering its staff professional and comprehensive courses recognised by the QF. Since 2013, the Group has launched 17 QF accredited programmes (Level 2 to Level 5) and has trained 4,500+ staff across Watson's Wine, PARKnSHOP, Watsons and FORTRESS.
In a recent accreditation exercise, the Retail Academy revamped three of the existing programmes to become the first QF accredited On-line Programme (OLP) in HK as a response to the learning and development needs of its staff driven by the use of technology. The OLPs feature a majority of self-directed learning and assessment activities delivered through an in-house digital learning platform.
To enhance the wine knowledge and broaden the exposure for our colleagues, we provide internationally-recognised wine courses W.S.E.T. with full subsidy and organise wine educational tours regularly to France, Italy, Australia, America, etc. to meet with winemakers. They are offered chances to visit various vineyards & wine cellars, participate in grape picking & wine making process as well as wine tasting, etc.
